I AM writing in support of a previous letter regarding the location of the new Marks and Spencer store.

Whilst I agree that a new and much improved store will be an exciting prospect for the town, I hope that the directors of Marks and Spencer will recognise that the loss of the food hall in the town centre will be a massive loss to its customers.

Not everyone will be able to access the new store and many people shop there three or four times a week, passing through on the way to the bus depot.

A food hall situated in one of the empty units near to the existing store would be a fantastic asset to the town centre and would surely help the town’s failing economy.

So come on Marks and Spencer, reward your loyal customers, open your eyes and spot the opportunity for a retail deal beneficial to us all.
