RAINFORD suffered their first loss of the season with a 92 run defeat by Fleetwood Hesketh at the Jubilee Recreation Ground on Saturday.
Batting first the visitors compiled 188 for 8 in 60 overs with skipper John Dotters bowling well to take 6 for 39. In the reduced time available Rainford crashed to 96 all out with Mathew Bailey scoring 32.
On Sunday the 3rd X1 registered a 56 run win over Leigh 3rds with Ollie Lawrenson (71) and Nick McColl (88) helping Rainford to their total of 212. Ben Evans (4 for 13) and Chris Bell (3 for 36) then bowled Leigh out for 156.
