AFTER posting 230 against Birkenhead Park, Rainford had to settle for a draw with the home side eventually finishing on 142 for 7.
Skipper John Dotters led from the front with 97 not out in Ranford’s total with Paul Farrar opening up with 33.
Dan Houghton (2 for 20) and Steven Cline (2 for 14) gave Rainford an excellent start in the second half but despite Andy Davie taking’ 3 for 44, stalemate ensued.
The 2nd X1 recorded their second win with a 90 run victory over Rainhill.
Ellie Threlkeld hit a 50 and Dan Harrison contributed 28 in their total of 151 all out.
The visitors were shot out for just 61 with Iain Fenney claiming 4 for 19 and Mark Farrar taking 3 for 20.
