FINGERPOST fighter Olivia Hussey is the new Great Britain champion at the 69kg level.
Representing England, against Scotland and Wales, Hussey won the gold medal at the Tri Nations championships hosted in Rotherham.
Formerly of Wildcard ABC by now fighting out of Warrington’s Hook & Jab, Hussey fought England boxer Amy Bullock in the straight final.
The pair had previously met in the England national semi- finals.
Hussey once again stopped her opponent within the first round with powerful punches phasing her attack displaying outstanding boxing, and a GB title and gold medal for her club.
Hussey will be representing England against Ireland in Warrington at Eagle Sports and Social club Penketh next week in Warrington.
This is Hussey’s second Europeans where she is a prospect for a medal.
She trains five times a week at the gym as well as England camps, giving 100 percent commitment.
Hussey was considering giving up the sport the beginning of last year but has come back stronger.
Previously a 64kg boxer returning to the ring after a 12 month break at her stronger and healthier weight of 69kg and her first season at 3x3 min rounds Hussey is continuing to shine.
