ST HELENS super middleweight Martin Murray will tackle Dmitrii Chudinov in Monte Carlo after the scheduled rematch and world title eliminator with Arthur Abraham fell through.

Abraham, who controversially won a split decision World WBO super middleweight title fight against Murray 12 months ago pulled out of their scheduled bout on November 12 with an elbow injury.

It did look as though Murray, keen to make a winning return following his points defeat by George Groves in June, was going to be left out in the cold.

But the 30-year-old Russian will make for a tasty bout as Murray - and one that poses a genuine challenge.

Chudinov, nicknamed the Night Wolf, has only lost one of his 22 paid fights to date - that being a ferocious fight with Chris Eubank Jr in February 2015 which ended in a 12th round stoppage.

It is just the fight Murray needs as he seeks to build towards another shot at that elusive world belt.
