CLOCK Face Miners overcame the visiting Dewsbury Celtic 26-16 in their first NCL game for three weeks.

Lewis Geraghty was the first try scorer as he scooted and stepped his way through the Celtic defence to score under the sticks. Connor Cutts followed with a try from a set play.

However, Celtic pulled a try back before Paul Hunt sent out a Jamie Lyon-esque pass to put Luke Leyden in out wide to give Clock a 14-6 half time lead.

Jordan Eccleston scored early in the second half as he ran a line from a Jack Highcock pass to race in under the sticks.

Celtic reduced the score line to 20-12 with a converted try before Paul Hunt put the game to bed when he regathered his own kick to score under the posts.

Highcock kicked the conversion to take his tally to three. Celtic scored late on but, Clock were always in control in this match.
