A 61st minute try by West Bowling sealed a 6-18 victory for the visitors against the plucky Clock Face Miners.

Clock started well when Luke Forber weaved his way through the Bowling defence to score close to the sticks 12 minutes in with Shaun Costello slotting over the conversion.

However, the visitors were quick to reply with a converted try to level matters and went into the lead minutes later when the Bowling winger scored out wide.

The start of the second half was a tense and end to end affair with both teams creating but, bombing chances. Clock were very much in the game and came close to scoring a number of times.

But, it was the 61st minute try, out wide by the West Bowling stand-off that broke the deadlock and edged the game away from Clock.

A late penalty sealed the game for the visitors.
