THE viewing figured for Saints' Super League eliminator at Warrington Wolves have shown the highest match average for any play-off game since they were introduced in 1998.
The gripping encounter, which Warrington won in Golden Point, had the viewers transfixed for beyond the 80 minutes.
And that clearly shows up in the numbers.
The RFL had been hoping for positive numbers, given it was the first on BBC, and the 5.30pm on BBC2 was a good viewing slot.
The peak figure is more than 500,000 on the combined BBC and Sky platforms - better than the previous play-off best for Saints' game with Salford in 2022 which was on Channel 4.
The Salford-Leigh also had a high peak of between 400-500,000 for a game that was on Sky only
