SAINTS packman Curtis Sironen has suffered a setback in his attempts to return to action.
The former NRL second row has not featured since suffering a calf injury in Saints' defeat by Wigan at Magic last month.
He had been expected back within the next wo weeks, but today Paul Wellens said the player has suffered a setback and now is likely aiming for a week one of the play-offs should Saints qualify.
Wellens said: "He has had a bit of a setback, so Curtis probably won't play in he regular rounds this year.
"He may have a chance - all being well - of making the first round of the play offs should we be taking part.
"It is not ideal, particularly as Curtis has been one of our stand out performers this year when he has been fit.
"It is the card we are dealt and we deal with it and move on."
Wellens also explained that both Hary Robertson and Alex Walmsley had knee issues from today's game that will need to be assessed.
"Harry has a bit of an issue with his knee, which is why he had to leave the field.
"The plan was to not play Jack Welsby at full back today, but we will get Harry assessed - it is hard to tell at the moment.
"Other than that Alex Walmsley came off with a bit of a knee issue that we will need to get checked out.
"But hopefully we have come through OK."
