SAINTS have been dealt a big blow following the Match Review Panel's look at last weekend's Super League Round 16 games.

Influential hooker/half back Moses Mbye has picked up a one-match ban and - unless he is successful in an appeal - will miss the crunch derby game at Wigan Warriors on Friday night.

Given the length of Saints' current casualty list - and the poor form of the team following last Friday's defeat at home to Castleford - losing Mbye is a bitter blow.

It also limits coach Paul Wellens' options to shake up the spine in response to the last two week's poor displays with the ball.

Saints' hooker Daryl Clark missed the weekend's game with injury and we will get an update on him and Sione Mata'utia and the other casualties later today.

Following the latest round of the Betfred Super League, the Match Review Panel have issued the following sanctions.

Mike Cooper (Wigan Warriors) – Grade B Head Contact - £250 Fine.

Robbie Mulhern (Leigh Leopards) – Grade B Dangerous Contact - £250 Fine.
