SAINTS make just one change to the 21-man squad for Sunday's trip to the AJ Bell to play Salford Red Devils.

Winger Tommy Makinson has been ruled out for four to six weeks with a Plantar Fascia issue picked up in the first minute of the London Broncos game.

His place in the 21 has been taken by Tee Ritson, who spent last week on dual registration with Swinton Lions.

Coach Paul Wellens does have options, particularly as Jon Bennison seems next in line as he was 18th man in the game at London at the weekend.

Saints are on a four-game winning streak that has put them at the top of the table - but this is the start of a tough block of games.

Wellens is wary of the threat posed by Paul Rowley's Salford Red Devils, particularly after the way they dispatched Warrington Wolves at the Halliwell Jones Stadium last weekend.

He said: "Salford are a very tough team as we found out at home earlier on in the season.

"They are playing well and I watched the game against Warrington last week and they are a very dangerous side.

"Marc Sneyd is very effective in the way he manages the game and they have two big boys on each edge in Nene Macdonald and Tim Lafai.

"They have a number of strike players as well with Kallum Watkins – a player who I have a huge amount of respect for and who has been doing the business for a long, long time.

"He’s had a new lease of life.

"They are a dangerous team and we are going to have to prepare really well for them if we are to get the right result."
