FORMER Saints skipper James Roby and assistant coach Matty Smith joined the walking group of former players last Friday.
The group, organised by former Saints scrum half Neil Holding, walks various routes from the Boathouse.
The idea is to encourage past players and associates to meet up for a bit of gentle exercise and to have a chat about all matters on the way round and over tea and coffee back at the Boathouse.
It has been a successful initiative so far, welcomed by those taking part.
Already this year the likes of former Saints Harry Pinner, Brian McGinn, Chris Arkwright, Alan Hunte, Dave Fairclough, Roy Mathias and Dennis Litherland have joined the walkers.
And on Friday former Premier League referee Chris Foy was invited and took part in the walk.
