SAINTS prop Matty Lees has been handed a caution for Dangerous Contact by the Match Review Panel in the first half of the game at Leigh.

The incident they have highlighted is the 24th-minute pull on Leigh prop Ben Nakubuwai for which Saints were punished with a set restart.

Lees, however, was cleared for the challenge for which he was sin-binned.

The second half incident saw the Saints prop yellow-carded for what was deemed a high tackle on Leigh full back Gareth O'Brien.

The prop racing downfield and catching the Leigh full back on the back/neck as he caught the ball.

Lees protested on the night, indicating that he had caught O'Brien's back - and the Leigh player himself did not react.

It was a costly incident in the game with Leigh coming from behind and scoring twice in that spell to go in front.

However, on viewing that the Match Review panel state: "Player makes initial contact with the back and rides up into the neck. N/A."

It means for the second week running Saints will feel hard done to by a big call on the field.
