IT is a far cry from their training pitch at Cowley, but Saints had an early acclimatisation training session on the beach as they begin their preparations for the World Club Challenge.
There are smiles in these pictures, with the players having left behind the cold and damp of south Lancashire.
There is some serious training going on too, with the latest batch of images showing the team hard at work on the field.

The 26 members of the squad, who will feature in the games against St George-Illawarra next Saturday and then the World Club Challenge against Penrith the following week are now there.
