SAINTS wing Tommy Makinson has been voted Super League's Player of the Month for May.
Makinson is the first Saints player to win the award this season - and earned it on the back of two outstanding games in the only couple of rounds to take place last month.
The international wing and former Golden Boot winger crossed for three tries, made three clean breaks and ran for a huge 322 metres during Rounds 12 and 13.

Makinson began the month with a two-try performance against Hull FC before producing a Man of the Match display against Warrington Wolves in Round 13.
His effort during that game was personified by a last-ditch, try-saving tackle in the dying seconds to ensure Saints left the Halliwell Jones Stadium with two competition points.
Makinson's performances have helped the Saints solidify their position at the top of the Betfred Super League table as they go in search of an unprecedented fourth consecutive Super League title.
Makinson explained: โIโm delighted to win the Player of the month award for May.
"Iโve been pleased with my form personally but I canโt perform without the help of my teammates. So this award is a credit to the team.โ
