SAINTS face a tough physical battle when they travel to the Black and White side of Hull for Saturday’s Round 2 Super League class, 12.30pm.
There will be plenty of interest in the game as it will be broadcast live on Channel 4, will be for the first leg of the Steve Prescott Cup and takes place in the week Hull and Great Britain rugby league legend Johnny Whiteley has died.
On the pitch both sides won at the weekend, with Hull overcoming Wakefield despite losing Jake Connor to a red card.
Connor and ex-Saint Andre Savelio are suspended for this one.
Coach Kristian Woolf said: “I expect a tough, physical challenge.
“They are a big pack that likes to play physical and you have certainly got to be strong in the middle there first, do a job there before you can think of anything else.
“They have some dangerous players and Luke Gale is a class player who has been around a long time and knows how to manage a team through a game. He certainly adds to them.”
On Whiteley Woolf added: “ He was a real gentleman, who needs to be remembered really fondly for what he did for the game and the way he carried himself throughout the game.”
