IT is game day – Saints play Leigh Centurions tonight at Totally Wicked Stadium (8pm) in Alex Walmsley’s testimonial in what will be the only friendly of the pre-season.

It will be the first opportunity to see new recruits Will Hopoate, Konrad Hurrell, Joey Lussick and James Bell in the red vee.

Other new recruits Curtis Sironen and Danny Hill, however, will not play.

Sione Mata’utia also misses after he picked up a one game ban in the 2021 Grand Final which is carried over to 2022. He will return for the opening game of the new campaign against Catalans.

Saints are also without injured wing Regan Grace, who is out for a month with a biceps injury, while Morgan Knowles also sits this out but will be ready for the Super League opener.

Kristian Woolf has named a 28-man squad – and Saints start strong team before handing opportunities to some younger members of the squad.

Tickets are available from the Club Ticket Office at the Totally Wicked Stadium up to kick-off as well as Cash turnstiles which are available on the West and South Stands (Turnstile 5 in the West Stand and Turnstile 12 in the South Stand).

Ticket Prices: South stand: £15 adult, £12 concession (65+), £8 Junior (5-16+under 5 free) or £40 Family ticket (2 adults, 2 Juniors) – Unallocated blocks. If there are any padded seats in your area, please note these seats are reserved for Hospitality guests.

West Stand: £13 adult, £10 concession, £7 junior – standing The Ticket Collection Point located next door to the Ticket Office is the place to collect your pre-ordered ticket from 6.15pm.

Gates open at 6.30pm with kick-off at 8pm.

Alex Walmsley’s Testimonial team will be holding a bucket collection and a Testimonial prize draw for which tickets can be purchased in cash.

The following council-run surface car parks and all pay & display locations will be free to use from 5.45pm for matchday parking:

Hardshaw Centre roof top surface car park will be available for use but please note access will be via The Needle staircase onto Hall Street only after the shopping centre closes at 5.30pm, making this an unsuitable car park for customers with mobility problems.

Millennium Centre car park is for the use of patients attending the Millennium Centre only.

Tontine multi-story car park will not be available as access via the shopping centre closes at 6pm and the car park is locked promptly at 6.30pm until 8am the following morning.
