ON Day 23 of our Nostalgia November feature we dip into our picture archives to Saints' 1962 Lancashire Cup Final triumph at Central Park.

Saints led 7-0 at the break through a Tom van Vollenhoven try and two Kel Coslett goals and defied Swinton's wind-assisted second half to emerge 7-4 victors.

Saints skipper, loose forward Bill Major, is chaired by John Tembey and Bob Dagnall as he parades the cup.

Note there are only 12 players at the trophy presentation. This is because fiery prop John Arkwright - son of Jack and father of Chris - had been dismissed along with Swinton's Ron Morgan for a dust up.

Can you pick out the three members of this winning team who would still be around some 14 years when the Dad's Army team won the Challenge Cup at Wembley?

Two of them are future Saints coaches.
