TO plenty in this town, a walk up Knowsley Road or down Dunriding Lane will always be 'Saints'.
This run of photographs from February-March 2011 captures the moments when the town’s historic rugby league stadium was demolished ahead of Saints move to Langtree Park.
Among them is the moment when the iconic red vee was removed from the front of the stadium.
The 120 year-old-ground - home of so many cherished memories - was razed to the ground to make way for the housing development Cunningham Grange.
While all this was happening Saints played out of town at the home of Widnes rugby league club while the new Langtree Park stadium was built at the former United Glass site at Peasley Cross.
