SAINTS second row Sione Mata'utia has been charged with a Grade A offence and a one match ban by the Match Review Panel.
Mata’utia has been charged with Grade A Punching following an incident in the fourth minute whilst Michael McIlorum of Catalans Dragons has been charged with a Grade A Tripping offence following an incident in the ninth minute.
In each case, the punishment is a one-match suspension – and the player has until Tuesday morning to challenge this.
In Mata'utia's case the panel picked up a punch on Catalans' James Maloney.
There was no action taken on the field.
Nor was there any action taken against the McIlorum trip, despite the Saints players appeal at the time.
In addition, the RFL have confirmed that the post-match comments of the Catalans Chairman Bernard Guasch are being considered by the Compliance Department.
