ST HELENS judoka Lucy Renshall has been handed a tough draw against a home favourite for her Olympic games debut tomorrow.

She faces Japan's Miku Tashiro in the Elimination round in the -63kg category which will start in the early hours of Tuesday morning (UK time).

The 25-year-old from Eccleston booked her qualification with a gold medal at the Antalya Grand Slam following a fifth-place finish at the Tbilisi Grand Slam.

Tashiro, Renshall's opening round opponent, is a former Youth Olympic Gold medallist and came fifth in the Rio Olympics.

If Renshall clears the first two hurdle elimination hurdles, she will go into the quarters, fighting down to the final later in the day.
