RAINFORD Rangers Inter won their first piece of silverware after beating Culcheth Athletic Reds in Saturday's Warrington Junior Football League Under 9's Europa Final at the Hive home of Earlestown Athletic.

It was the first time the side has reached a cup final since being formed at U7 age group.

A very competitive match saw both teams having chances in the first half but it was Max Amor goal midway through the first half that saw Rainford go into the break with a 1-0 advantage.

Culcheth came back into the game at the start of the second half before an unstoppable strike from distance by Lucca Roberts extended Rainford Rangers lead.

With the confidence of the lead, Rainford added a further goal late on with a Finlay Isaac strike to put one hand on the cup before a fourth just before the final whistle sealed the first piece of silverware for the team.

The Rainford Rangers Inter team had a great cup run to get to the final only conceding one goal throughout our cup run.

Bernard Platt captured the action.
