THERE were no disciplinary issues arising Saints' clash with Warrington.

However, three Super League players have been banned.

Wigan prop Brad Singleton was handed a two-match penalty for a grade C headbutt in his side's 18-8 defeat by Hull KR.

Salford full-back Dan Sarginson has been handed a three-match ban after it was confirmed that referee Scott Mikalauskas sent the wrong player off in the Red Devils' 9-8 win at Huddersfield on Friday.

Second rower James Greenwood was shown a red card for a high tackle on Giants hooker Adam O'Brien in the 33rd minute of the Super League game at the John Smith's Stadium.

Greenwood appeared bewildered and Huddersfield coach Ian Watson said he tried to alert the match officials to the error.

Watson, who said his pleas were ignored, claimed the mistake had a huge bearing on the outcome of the game, arguing that Sarginson was a more influential player than Greenwood.

Sarginson, who was charged by the Rugby Football League's match review panel with a grade C offence, was making his first appearance after completing a three-match ban for a dangerous throw in Salford's match against St Helens in May.

Greenwood was involved in the tackle on O'Brien, but the panel said he made contact with his opponent around the shoulder and rescinded the red card.

Sarginson's team-mate Greg Burke was given a one-match penalty notice for a high tackle in the same match.
