HULL FC centre Josh Griffin's week may have thought his week could not get any worse, but it just has.

If rupturing his Achiiles in an incident that led to Theo Fages' gamebreaking try was not bad enough, he has now been banned for two-matches after picking up a Grade C dangerous contact charge.

It relates to a 23rd minute tackle on Tommy Makinson which was viewed by the match review panel.

it stated: "Defender uses any part of their body forcefully to twist, bend or otherwise apply pressure to the limb or limbs of an opposing player in a way that involves an unacceptable risk of injury to that player."

In other incidents Liam Hood (Leigh) had a Grade A Dangerous Throw with 0 Match Penalty Notice.

Nathan Peats (Leigh), Dangerous Contact, and Tinirau Arona (Wakefield), Other Contrary Behaviour, were handed cautions.
