NEWTOWN Jets Media Manager Glen Dwyer was delighted to welcome former Saints' legend Sia Soliola at the weekend before the match against Canberra Raiders.
Canberra had a bye so Sia was playing in the club's Knock On Effect NSW Cup team in reserve grade.
Sia played for Newtown when they were affiliated to the Sydney Roosters in the early Noughties just before he came over to England.
He was keen to renew old acquaintances at Newtown's famous Henson Park ground.
Glen is a huge fan of English rugby league, with a penchant for the 1960s and 70s. His favourite players are Alex Murphy, Vince Karalius and Jim Mills.
He always maintains that his greatest memory on visiting this country is watching Saints v Wigan at Knowsley Road on Boxing Day 1992.
