IT is gameday – and for the first time in 14 months 4,000 supporters will be able to watch it from the stands and terraces.

Saints’ Round 6 Super League games sees the champions take on Salford Red Devils at the Totally Wicked Stadium, 7.45pm.

It is the second time the sides will have met this season having played in the opening game of Super League in the loop game at Headingley.

Saints won that match 29-6.

It is an intriguing game – one not to be taken lightly - against a Salford side bossed by former Saints assistant coach Richard Marshall.

Salford gave a spirited performance last time out in going down to a golden point defeat to Castleford Tigers in the Challenge Cup.

In the league Salford only have one League win to their name – against Leigh – but that start has featured tough games against Hull FC, Catalans and Castleford.

Saints are without the injured Tommy Makinson, Matty Lees and James Bentley.

St Helens Star:

Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook has recovered from a head knock, while loose forward Morgan Knowles is expected to play for the first time this season.
