JAMES Bentley being stretchered off late in the game put a huge dampener on Saints' 22-12 win over Leigh.
The dogged second rower suffered a lower leg injury and faces a spell on the sidelines.
Coach Kristian Woolf did not want to speculate on the extent of the injury, but said: "It did not look real nice on the video.
"He certainly needs to get some x-rays and scans.
"We are hoping for the best. The indictions are that it might not be a real good one, but there is no certainty about what it is just yet.
"He has been outstanding for us - he competes for us all the time. That is a real attribute - the intensity he can play at and how hard he competes.
"He does that every single week.
"Whether it is one week or 10 weeks, or whatever it is, we are certainly going to miss him."
