LAST month we featured a team shot of Cowley High School's successful first XV rugby union team from 20 years ago.
Team members were quick to explain that this crop of 2001 Northern School Cup winners had also toured New Zealand.
And here they are pictured outside the school on Hard Lane before they left for for the tour on Friday 13th July 2001
The group have organised a re-union for the 20 year anniversary with a date of Friday 16 July set in place.
One of the tourists, Philip Highcock, explained: "We are going to be watching the games we played in New Zealand and the accompanying tour videos and possibly the two finals we won early that year.
"We will generally be having a good catch up and reminisce as a lot of us have not seen each other since returning from NZ and a few are dotted about around the country and around the world.
"We are still looking for a venue but are struggling due to the pandemic but we are all determined to put this on.
"As you can imagine we don’t have a pot of money to pull from so we are doing everything possible to make sure everyone attends."
