SAINTS fans will today find out who their opponents are for this year’s Super League Magic event will be.

The weekend at the popular choice of Newcastle’s St James’ Park has been pushed back to Saturday, 4 September 4 and Sunday 5 September to give it a better chance of accommodating spectators.

If yesterday’s roadmap out of lockdown goes to plan then supporters will begin to start returning to venues afterMay 17 with attendances increasing after June.

Magic was not played last year due to the lockdown, but in 2019 it was switched to Anfield.

But Newcastle has so far proven to be the most popular choice of fans for an event that has also been held at Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester in the past.

The full Super League fixtures will be announced on Friday – a month before the 2021 campaign kicks off.
