WE take a look at some of the key threats in the Wigan Warriors team ahead of tomorrow’s Super League Grand Final…

BEVAN FRENCH:

Saints know all about the threat the livewire Australian full-back poses after he scored a crucial try against them in Wigan's derby win last month – but enough about that.

He beat Lachlan Coote to a place in the Super League Dream Team after a stellar first full season in England in which he scored 12 tries.

The expectation was that he would be off back to the NRL following this season, with former club Parramatta Eels apparently interested in re-signing him, but he has committed to remaining in England for next year.

ZAK HARDAKER

Having spent most of his career at full-back, the form of French and injuries in the outside backs forced Hardaker into the three-quarter line.

He has not looked back, though, with some excellent displays on the right edge in both attack and defence.

The fact French is sticking around plus the continued rumours of an NRL move for Oliver Gildart might mean the switch to the centres might become more permanent for Hardaker, but he has grown in the role as the season has gone on.

LIAM FARRELL

The second rower seems to be getting better with age and many consider him unlucky to have missed out on the Man of Steel prize.

In a stellar season, Farrell was second in the competition for metres made and third in the tackle charts.

Saints' right-edge defence will have to be sound around the familiar but devastating lines Farrell likes to run in attack.

SAM POWELL

The influential hooker missed out on last week's semi-final win over Hull FC and while Wigan ensured he was not missed too much, his return for the big dance is a massive boost.

Having started out as a half-back, Powell has had perhaps his best season in the number nine role.

His kicking game out of acting half is key for getting his side on the front foot, while his 11 tries is a highly impressive return.

SEAN O'LOUGHLIN

Just as Saints will be fighting to send James Graham into retirement with a Grand Final winners' ring, Wigan will be itching to do the same for their skipper.

The former England captain is bringing the curtain down on a 19-year career with his hometown club after tomorrow's game and will be aiming to do so by winning an 11th trophy.

Injuries have limited his appearances this season but the stage is set for one last battle with Graham and Saints.
