WELCOME to the second edition of our 'Prior to Wire' picture feature.

This time the focus is on current Warrington Wolves and England full-back Stefan Ratchford.

The Wigan-born 32-year-old joined The Wire in 2012 from Salford Red Devils, where he had first made his debut in 2007 - two years after turning professional from Wigan St Patricks.

The move to The Halliwell Jones Stadium brought him back together with Richie Myler after they had proved to be effective in the halves together at Salford.

Since then with The Wire he was won the Challenge Cup twice and the League Leaders' Shield, while also finishing runner-up in the club's four Grand Finals and on two occasions at Wembley.

He was a Northern Rail Cup and Division One Grand Final winner with Salford, and he also achieved an England Knights selection with them in 2011 to back up his full England squad call-up in 2009.
