SAINTS' fixture with Hull KR will go ahead as planned on Friday after Rovers received a full set of negative Covid-19 results.

There had been concern as Hull KR had played Wigan last Thursday, who had a member of their squad test positive and he is now self-isolating.

The rest of Wigan squad's testing has come back negative from their testing this week, as has the Rovers.

Wigan have therefore been cleared to make a ground-breaking trip to France this weekend for Saturday’s Betfred Super League fixture against the Catalans Dragons.

Wigan will travel to Perpignan on Saturday morning on a charter flight, under conditions approved by the British and French authorities, for the first Betfred Super League fixture in France since the resumption of the season last month – and in a match which will also be the first to host a crowd since the resumption, as permitted by French Government regulations.

The fixture will be televised live in France on free-to-air broadcaster L’Equipe, and in the UK on Sky Sports, kicking off at 5pm BST.

Sky Sports will show all five Betfred Super League fixtures this week, as follows:

Thursday September 10 (Totally Wicked Stadium, St Helens – behind closed doors): Hull FC v Wakefield Trinity (6pm); Castleford Tigers v Warrington Wolves (815pm)

Friday September 11 (Totally Wicked Stadium, St Helens – behind closed doors): St Helens v Hull KR (6pm), Leeds Rhinos v Huddersfield Giants (815pm)

Saturday September 12: Catalans Dragons v Wigan Warriors (5pm BST, Stade Gilbert Brutus, Perpignan)
