SAT in the garden with the sun shining on his face, Saints prop Kyle Amor could not help but reflect on what should have been happening that day.

Regan Grace’s late winning try in the 2018 derby with Wigan came to mind on Good Friday morning as the UK lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic continued to put a halt to sporting action and probably the most eagerly anticipated fixture of the year.

Instead, Amor was looking forward to another day with his family as he issued a message to fans.

“Stick to the government guidelines, stay home and stay safe,” he said at the end of his week of lockdown insight on Saints TV.

“And use this opportunity that we have in the lockdown to have as much fun, and spend as much time with family, as we can.”

That, along with the training he and his teammates have been doing on their own, was the story of his week.

One of the days featured a garden party following the homecoming of family pet Gus from ‘doggy hospital’ while also celebrating his father-in-law’s 63rd birthday from afar.
