SAINTS prop Luke Thompson has told supporters that his decision the club at the end of the year for NRL outfit Canterbury Bulldogs was the hardest he has had to make.
Writing on his social media account, the 24-year-old prop thanked the fans for their messages of support.
And he vowed to carry on giving the club – which he regards as family – 100 per cent as he seeks to finish his stint in the red vee on a high.
I want to thank everyone for all the kind messages of support.

Thompson said: "This has been the toughest decision I have ever made.
“All my life I have supported Saints and I have been part of the club since I started at the under 11s.
“The club has been like a family to me and I will be sad to leave at the end of the season, but I am really excited about my future with the Bulldogs.
Gutted to be losing my front row partner at the end of the year. Go and kill it my man... but we got one more big year first 💪🏼 pic.twitter.com/5u8Yoa8eSY

“Finally, there is a lot to be done this year and my focus as always, is giving 100 per cent with the team at St Helens and finish the season on a high!
“Once a Saints, always a Saint. COYS.”
