SATURDAY saw three of the slightly more mad St. Helens Sutton A.C. members take on the challenging 22 mile race across the Yorkshire Peaks taking in a total of 4500ft of ascent.
Starting in the early morning at Mytholmyrod, Greg Carns, Sonya Monoghan, and Chris Reid, set off circling the Yorkshire town of Hebden Bridge with a great had by all as the team finished in 5 hours 26 minutes.
Sunday saw the Finals of the Sports Hall Athletics League and a great group of St. Helens Sutton A.C. juniors took part making both the club and parents proud. Lewis Dunn had a busy day as the U13 Boy in the team scoring an impressive 74 points across a range of running, jumping and throwing events.
The girls team had a fantastic day finishing third overall and receiving an invite to represent Merseyside in the Regional Finals next month.
