STEPH Rawlins’ lethal display of shooting helped Warrington Hockey Club womens’ firsts into seventh heaven on Saturday.
Oxton’s seconds were thrashed 7-1, with Rawlins netting four of Warrington’s goals while Molly Rudd struck twice. Player of the match Carrie Wright completed the scoring.
The men’s firsts fought back from two goals down to share the spoils with Bebington, with Richard Cook scoring his second goal with the last play of the game to secure a 2-2 draw.
There were mixed fortunes for the club’s second teams – Chris Ashworth and Rob Powell were on the scoresheet as the men beat Bebington 2-1 but the women were thrashed 6-0 by Oxton’s thirds.
