PILKINGTON FC welcome Southport FC to Ruskin Drive next Wednesday evening (22Jan) for a quarter-final tie in the Liverpool FC Senior Cup.

Currently the semi-professional club ply their trade in the National League North and presents a huge challenge for the town’s amateur side.

Pilks have already beaten current North West Counties Division One North league leaders, Lower Breck and Northern Premier League side Marine to reach this stage of the competition and Chairman Jimmy Woodyer hopes they can get the support of St Helens to go one further.

“This is not only the biggest game in the club’s history to date but also represents an opportunity for the community to get behind the club as they attempt to pull off another shock result against this illustrious opponent.”

The game is being hosted at Ruskin Sports Village, kick off is 7:45pm and admission is Adults £5, Concessions: £3 and u16s can come in free when accompanying a paying adult.
