THE funeral of former Saints and Great Britain hooker Tony Karalius will take place next Tuesday, 10 December at 1.30pm at St Bedes Church, Widnes.

Karalius, who played more than 350 games for Saints between 1967-78, passed away last week.

A key component of the 70s side, Karalius was Wembley winner in 1976, when the Saints team dubbed Dads Arms defeated favourites Widnes 22-5 in the baking heat.

Brother of rugby league hall of famer Vince, Tony was part of the last Great Britain squad to win the World Cup in 1972.
