SAINTS second row Dom Peyroux is celebrating another success after the Cook Islands claimed the last place at the 2021 World Cup.

He had an eventful game, being sin-binned for a dangerous tackle, during the 38-16 win over the United States in the final qualifying match at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.

The Cooks, who are coached by former Wigan three-quarter Tony Iro, stormed into an early 12-0 lead thanks to tries from Troy Dargan and new Warrington signing Anthony Gelling.

Tries either side of half-time from Matt Shipway and Hull winger Bureta Faraimo brought the Hawks back into contention and they were favourites when Peyroux was given 10 minutes.

However, the Pacific Islanders scored while down to 12 men through captain Alex Glenn and they ran away with the game in the final quarter to clinch victory and with it the 16th place at the next World Cup in England.
