After securing the age five to six-year-old world title, he came runner-up in three events after stepping up to the seven to eight-year-old bracket.

"We are all so very proud of what he’s achieved and especially with it being his first time doing something so big and gaining the world title," said Louis' aunty, Kirsty Peel, who added her nephew has been training since aged three but only started competing this year.

St Helens Star:

Louis is trained by his dad, Michael Peel (above), who is the Thai boxing instructor at Fighting For Fitness and guided his talented son to qualification for the World Championship by winning a northern area title and the southern area championship earlier this year.

"Louis lives for Muay Thai and is a great role model in the gym, even to the older kids as his dedication is 100 percent," added Kirsty.

St Helens Star:

Louis trains three to five times a week and adds running to his training schedule too.

His talents don't end in the ring, though.

"He also does skiing and has been on the race team at Chill Factore," said Kirsty.

"Louis has been on many holidays in Austria, skiing red and black runs."
