JONNY Lomax is to replace his St Helens teammate Lachlan Coote at full-back when Great Britain play their first of two Tests against New Zealand.

Head coach Wayne Bennett makes three changes to his 21-man squad, with Lomax named at full-back at this stage and Coote not featuring.

The other two changes are forced by injury.

Luke Thompson is ruled out with the rib injury he sustained in the 12th minute against Tonga, opening up the way for South Sydney's Tom Burgess to start in the front row in his place.

Saints' Alex Walmsley looks likely to start off the bench again, with Warrington co-captain Chris Hill named as the other starting prop.

Other changes see Hull FC utility back Jake Connor coming in at left centre as replacement for Wigan's Oliver Gildart, who will take no further part in the tour after dislocating his shoulder in Hamilton on Saturday.

The bench currently has a new-look, with Warrington pair Daryl Clark and Joe Philbin set to feature.

Castleford's Jake Trueman and Warrington's Blake Austin come into the wider 21-man squad which will be further reduced to 19 on Friday.

The 21 man squad in full is:

1. Jonny Lomax (Orrell St James, St Helens)
