SAINTS winger Tom Makinson could miss the Great Britain tour after suffering a dislocated shoulder in his side's Super League Grand Final triumph.

The 28-year-old dislocated his shoulder out during the second half of Saints' 23-6 win over Salford at Old Trafford - but played on after having it put back in on the field.

Makinson said: "I dislocated my shoulder and popped it back in but I think that's me sadly out until next year..

"They wanted to bring me off but I'm not coming off, it's the Grand Final.

"Once it pops out, you're struggling, aren't you? There's usually a bit of damage. I'll get it scanned and see what it's like but I think I'll miss the tour.

"It's devastating. But it's only a little dislocation, six weeks. It is what it is. I'm still young. I'll crack on and get myself right and look to get in the England team next year."

Makinson not only stayed on the field but rounded off the scoring with a 40-metre drop goal.

"It was a nice way to finish, the first one of my career," he added.
