SAINTS Women became the first side to beat the Castleford Tigers Women in the league this season after a thrilling 20-14 comeback win.
The victory in the last game of the regular season was ideal preparation for this Sunday's Super League semi-final against Leeds.
Saints try scorers were Paige Travis, Jodie Cunningham, Katie-May Williams and Tara Jones, with Faye Gaskin kicking two goals.
The game had to be switched to Ruskin Drive after the heavy rain.
Saints Woman now bounce into the game against Leeds Rhinos - the team that knocked knocked them out of the Challenge Cup - on Sunday, 1pm at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
