SAINTS skipper James Roby will be fit for the Super League semi-final against the winners of this Friday’s Wigan v Salford game.
The veteran number nine came off just before half time in the final game of the regular season at Hull FC after a flare up of the groin injury that had needed surgery earlier this season.
But with the leaders having a week off as a reward for finishing top, coach Justin Holbrook expects his captain to be fit for the semi.
Holbrook said: “He is ok, but still a bit sore where it flared up.
“We brought him off as a precautionary measure so he did not aggravate his groin any further.
“He will be ok come next week – he has gone well for a bit and we will roll him out a week on Friday.”
