With play stopped in the first half while Warrington’s Bryson Goodwin received treatment for a facial cut, the Sky Sports cameras focused on Holbrook, who was in the stand with his assistants Richard Marshall and Paul Wellens, on a pre-final spying mission.
It led to playful boos from the crowd at Wigan.
The cameras then turned to Wire coach Price, who joined in the fun by smiling and waving a fist.
This led to broad grins from the Saints trio and a big wave to the camera from Holbrook.
Not to be left out, the cameras then turned to a grinning Adrian Lam, the coach of Wigan - Warrington’s opponents on the night.
The banter delighted the crowd and the Sky Sports commentary team.
Saints take on Warrington in the Challenge Cup final at Wembley on Saturday, August 24.
Australians Holbrook and Price are good friends and met up at Ruskin Drive, St Helens last week for the Johnny Vegas Crown Green Bowling Challenge.
