SAINTS will have to keep an eye out for one particular old boy when Huddersfield Giants come to town on Friday night.

Former Saints stand off Lee Gaskell, who played at the Grand Final in 2001, has been on top form for the Giants.

The lanky number six, with a great kicking game, has been singled out by Justin Holbrook as a potent attacking threat.

Holbrook said: “Huddersfield are a dangerous side and I am thinking in particular since we played them in the Challenge Cup in May.

“With Lee Gaskell playing well and running the ball fantastically. He is playing really well and has a great kicking game too.

“He is a dangerous run threat and a big guy for a half.”

There are other strong aspects in Huddersfield’s play too - notably a big pack, and they showed what they can do at Magic when they posted 50 points on Hull FC.

“They have a big forward pack.

“They blew away at Hull FC at Magic.”

Saints do make changes from the side that lost at London, with all the missing players from that day returning.

More are rested, however.

“They are all back, but Matty Lees and Regan Grace will have a rest,” Holbrook said.

“Matty has played heaps of rugby and as many minutes as you ask him.

“He would play 80 if you asked him and that is a great trait to have.

“hey all want to keep playing and nobody is screaming out for a rest.

“Doing well in the Challenge Cup is important, but that means that you don’t get a week off. We have to look at ways to get a break.”
