GREENALLS PSO came from behind to reach the Cheshire Football League President’s Cup semi-final at the expense of neighbours Daten.

They had to do it the hard way after Daniel Whalley beat the offside trap to beat Greens keeper Hal Black and give the Atoms the lead.

However, the hosts were back in the game before long as Ryan Rowland latched onto a through-ball from Przemek Staniszewski and slammed a first-time finish past the keeper.

By half time, Greens were in front as Tom Lees fired home direct from a free kick and that proved enough to book a last-four spot.

The game proved a continuation of some good form for Greens and Rowland in particular, who fired both goals as they beat already-relegated Denton Town in the Premier Division on Saturday.

At the same time, Eagle Sports were putting themselves in the driving seat for a third-place finish by winning 3-1 at Crewe FC, with Chris Quirk bagging twice to go with a further goal from Adam Coleman.
