LUKE Thompson took the maximum three points in the Round 8 votes for the Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel.

His footwork, evasive skills and direct running lifted Saints in the second-half.

The England prop scored a try, made 194 metres and 25 tackles.

Saints defeated Hull KR 36-24 to remain unbeaten - and much of that was down to the input of full back Lachlan Coote, who took the two points.

Rovers' Kane Linnett took the one point.
