Luke Thompson charges in
SAINTS prop Matty Lees has received a caution for an incident during Friday’s match against Hull KR.
Play was stopped on 68 minutes when Hull KR prop Mitch Garbutt held the back of his neck, prompting the referee to place the incident on report.
However, the match review panel states: “Player makes reasonable approach to contact and makes some allowances for opponent’s head to safely comes through the tackle. Player could make an adjustment in the tackle technique. Worthy of MRP Caution."

The only other Saints incident looked at was one of Luke Thompson raising his knee, but the panel declared the prop “Raises knee, then adapts stride and does not make contact on opponent.”
