The attending voting panel member noted that Austin made the key difference for The Wire as he scored a try and set up another for Josh Charnley in the 34-32 victory.

The Australian half-back, who won the Warrington Guardian readers' man of the match poll, was awarded three points while Mike Cooper was given one point as the panellist was impressed by his long minutes, positive offloads and high work rate.

Wakefield's Kyle Wood, who scored two tries, was given two points.

Stefan Ratchford still leads the Wire charge in the overall standings on nine points, still three behind St Helens' James Roby who leads the way.
